Flight Gear 1.0, Free Open Source Flight Simulator

Finally we get 1.0 of the infamous Flight Gear, a great flight simulator that took 10 years of development. With Flight Gear we can even fly 1903 Wright Flyer or even military jets. Flight Gear never strays from detail, letting us see the world in its entirety.

3d Cockpits the same as their original, realistic landscapes (try flying through New York), clouds, and even airports are simulated with Flight Gear. This may even be better than Microsoft's version of Flight Simulator.

Any computer isn't complete without a combat simulator. At least most of my friends studying flight would tell you that.
"FlyingGuns is a flight- and battlefield simulator used to develop and test
approaches for low-resource, internet enabled games and distributed simulation. Areas of application might be industrial and military simulation or entertainment.
The same time, FlyingGuns is a 3D action computer game capable of single- and multiplayer gaming.
FlyingGuns lets the player enter a WW1 fighter plane and fight against human or AI opponents. Having slow planes keeps the gameplay compact. The game is capable to handle a real lot of opponents the same time. Fighting against 100 AI opponents solves the 'where is the enemy' problem, which is quite common to flightsim today, in an extraordinary manner."
